the weather today was perfect. the last of our weekend guests checked out, and since we have no one new arriving until wednesday, we took some of this afternoon to just play. i cleaned the whole inn this morning (well, 6 guest rooms plus all 6 bathrooms, and all the shared spaces and hallways...), and did 8 loads of laundry so far. joe was on trash/recycling/restaurant linen detail. needless to say, we felt sort of like we earned some play time. i feel better right now than i've felt in quite a while: calm, and sleepy in a good way. i think part of it, though, is thanks to my dinner of entirely raw ingredients. gideon ate LOTs of avocado, and i ate a salad of spinach, beet greens & arugula, sprouted adzuki beans, carrots, onions, tomatoes, sesame seeds, and currants. my magically transforming father has recently become a huge advocate for a raw food diet & has inspired the rest of us to make colorful (fresh/sprouted/"live") choices when possible. i almost made nachos tonight (because i didn't have the energy to prepare anything much more elaborate), but to compare the way i feel now to the way i know nachos make me feel, well... i may never eat nachos again.
they are so handsome, love the blog jane, thank you love ya crystal
ReplyDeleteso glad you fixed the glitch. i can sleep soundly once again!
